Fall is a busy season, that leads into an even busier winter for many families.

One of the highlights of these seasons is the many traditions we share around holiday decorating and festivities. The time between holidays goes quickly if you are an avid decorator. Going from one holiday to the next from October through January requires quick action, and a good storage solution that makes sense.

Having a place for everything is the key to staying organized.

This is especially important during the busy holiday season when we have lots of baking and meal prep to do! It’s even more appreciated when we have children helping with the cooking! If you have a pantry, designate an area or several shelves to holiday baking items. This can include large serving platters, cookie sprinkles and other edible confections, Grandma’s silver serving utensils and heirloom China that is only used for special occasions. In this Kansas City Custom Closets project, we included large, high shelving compartments to provide the owner ample space for rarely used items such as these.
